Guaranteed Karpet Kleen employs the hot water extraction method to clean floor covering textiles. This method has been proven to be the most effective at removing the greatest quantity of soils held within carpets. The hot water extraction method is also widely recomended by most carpet manufacturers. The GKK carpet cleaning service experience is a multiple step process, as described below:
First, the areas to be cleaned will be toured with the client and visually inspected. This allows the client to point out any problem areas and also to raise any questions or concerns about the cleaning process. This also allows the technician to gather background information (age of carpet, time and method of last cleaning, etc.) and point out any pre-existing conditions that may be uncorrectable via the cleaning process. Next, the carpets will be vacuumed using a ProChem PV-12 commercial vacuum to remove as much dry soil as possible. The third step is an application of a pretreatment emulsifier & deodorizer and manual agitation of the carpet face yarns with a pile brush. This step is very important because this is when the soil entrapped within the carpet face yarns is released and suspended (deflocculation). The carpet is then extracted using a Hydramaster Boxxer 423 truck-mounted carpet cleaning system. This part of the process injects hot water with an acidic textile rinse into your carpets and quickly recovers the solution using a high-strength vacuum. This rinses the suspended soils from your carpet, as well as neutralizes the pre-spray leaving the carpet in a clean, soft, and ph balanced state without a soil attracting residue. The carpet is then groomed to vertically realign the face yarns for proper drying and client inspection.
Specialty spot removal procedures are available for the removal of many stubborn spots and stains. These would include rust, heavy oil and/or grease, paint, gum & adhesives, and food coloring stains from juices and soft drinks to name a few. Pet odor remediation is also an advanced restorative service that is available as well.
An added benefit that many clients take advantage of is a post-cleaning application of Maxim Advanced Fiber Protection. Maxim Advanced represents the cutting edge of carpet protectors today. It uses state-of-the-art, environmentally safe flourochemical technology to protect against damaging dry soils as well as both water-based and oil-based spills. Maxim Advanced also coats fibers with a stain barrier to help protect against difficult dye stains.
After the cleaning has been completed, carpets are usually damp to the touch for 4 to 8 hours. This time frame is variable however, and dependent on many factors including ambient temperature, relative humidity, airflow in the immediate area, and also client instructions. For freshly cleaned areas that need to be available for use soon after cleaning, airmovers can be employed to accelerate the drying process. Disposable shoe covers are also given to clients after the service in the event that foot traffic in the recently cleaned areas is necessary.
